Entry 1 3-14-07

I have done research projects for speech, Social Studies and English. I have done projects on people, places, things and different topics. Research means that you spend time learning about a new topic so you are able to present a project on the specific topic. One research sucsess I had was when I had to research about the B.C.S. to give a speech on it. The expierience was positive because I knew a little about the topic to get me started.

I think that the webbing process helped because it gave me a "fat" question and other small questions I could ask after the "fat" question. It really helped me choose a topic that would be extensive and informitive.

Entry 3 3-15-07

Columbus and the Odyssey to the New Land is the my I- Search topic. The reason I choose it is because I thought that it would be extensive and an interesting topic. I that Columbus made several journeys to the New land, his first trip was in 1492. His crew had 3 ships and they where trying to find a shortcut to the West Indies.

Entry 5 due March 20th

Reflections on Pre-Notetaking - for homework (due Tue, Mar 20)
1. Describe how the pre-notetaking sheet helped you find both focus for your topic and research questions to investigate. Did you find it easy or difficult to create a fat question from your ideas?

The pre-notetaking sheet helped because I had several different topics to make a fat question on. Once I found my fat question I was able to come up with several other questions. I found it both easy and difficult to find the fat question because some of the questions turned out to be off topic or they happened to be great questions.
